April 2016 : Pew pew pew

Pew pew pew!

I found this image online and it stuck with me for months. I finally broke down and decided to cross stitch it for my wall. I didn't have a cross stitch pattern to work with so I just eyeballed it and did the best I could. We had just recently lost our old black cat Hades (he was well over 18 years old and quite possibly closer to 20 since we thought he was old when he first adopted us 16 years ago) and this image had my family laughing.

I didn't realize that the pattern was for sale until after I had stitched my version. For those looking to buy the original pattern you can find it here at

My thanks to the originator of the idea.

(Another version I made for my sister-in-law. Another cat fan.)
